Fashion Show: Sixty Years of Fashion Photography – Running from February 26th to March 24th, this art show features more than 40 photographs showcasing fashion photography. This takes place at the Atlas Gallery in London.
The Women of Harper’s Bazaar, 1936-1956 – Runs from March 1st through April 2nd. This show is a collaboration between Harper’s Bazaar photographer, editor-in-chief and fashion editor, the ones who turned Harper’s Bazaar into a publication for “well-dressed women with well-dressed minds. This takes place at the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC.
Techstyle – Running from March 5th until April 5th, this exhibition showcases where technology is taking fashion. From 3D printing to clothes that react to the world around them, technology is impacting the fashion industry. This is located at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Oscar De La Renta: The Retrospective – Taking place from March 12th to May 30th, this is the first retrospective of the legendary designer, showcasing work from over 50 years with more than 130 pieces. This is taking place at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.
Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo – This show will run from March 14th through March 19th. Hosted by Japan Fashion Week Organization twice a year, this show aims to make Tokyo more fashionable and enjoyable and showcase new designers.
Fashion Week LA – Running from March 16th through March 20th, this show is also organized twice a year to showcase new collections for the upcoming season. This one is focusing on Fall/Winter 2016 and takes place in Los Angeles.
Game Changers: Reinventing the 20th Century Silhouette – Runs from March 18th through August 14th. This is a showcase of the designer Balenciaga who radically changed fashion in the 20th century when styles moved away from the hourglass silhouette. This show takes place in Antwerp, Belgium.
A History of Fashion in 100 Objects – Taking place from March 19th to April 20th, this show features 100 objects that show a history of fashion from the 1500s to the present. Objects range from a coat worn by a woman from Shakespeare’s time to Air Jordans. This show takes place at the Fashion Museum Assembly Rooms in Bath, UK.
Hera Seoul Fashion Week – Running from March 21st through March 26th, Seoul Fashion Week is also part of the global fashion week that takes place twice a year. It features several different events such as Generation Next for up and coming designers and Seoul Collection, for top designers. This takes place in Seoul, South Korea.
Arab Fashion Week Fair – Taking place from March 27th through April 2nd, Arab Fashion Week Fair is a continuation of Arab Fashion Week, which also takes place twice a year. It features luxury brands from around the world with more than 500 brands. This show takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai.
